Kristrún Gunnarsdóttir and Jie Jiang gave a talk, titled: “Making sense of the household” at SPHERE — Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC), University of Bristol.
They outlined the mixed-methods approach of the HomeSense project (using time-use, interview, questionnaire and sensor data), and took examples of how to ‘see’ household practices in sensor-generated data. They also discussed potentials and limitations in using sensors to address specialised research interests.
