Jie Jiang has gone to Amsterdam for a month as a visiting researcher, and will be spending her time with the Computational Intelligence Group in the CS department at the Vrije Universiteit.
Jie will be working with Mark Hoogendoorn who has extensive experience with sensor-generated data, applying machine learning in the eHealth and mHealth domains.
Together with Mark, Jie will research machine learning methods for home activity recognition, household energy disaggregation, and indoor localisation based on the data collected from the HomeSense field trial. The expected outcomes of this collaboration include conference and journal publications.
