Coming up: the HomeSense team is convening a session on Tuesday 3 July @ 10am, titled: “Sensors in social research”.
This session will address the technical, observational, ethical and communicational aspects of using sensors. It will report on how the technologies have been explained to participants, address the installation process and how the research instruments have been managed in the field.
The session will also report on working across the social and computer science disciplines, on making sense of sensor-generated data and evaluating these data against well-established methods in social research. A set of sensors and data visualisations will be showcased during the coffee break.
